Sony Introduces An OLED Organic Light-Emitting Diodes Flexible TV Screen
Sony has been working on paper thin screens made with organic light-emitting diodes that are flexible, these have potential as they are affordable as well as energy efficient. This concept has been in the works for awhile, but Sony cranks up the competition even higher, by unveiling the world’s first bendable version.
Sony claims to have developed this new screen that uses plastic instead of glass to make the OLED screens able to bend (hopefully without breaking). Its current 2.5-inch prototype model weighs only 1.5 grams– or 0.053 ounces.
There is no specific product for the technology as of yet, but the possibilities are endless. Video in magazines, advertisements on walls.
